Efficacy of Paromomycin Sulphate for the Treatment of Cryptosporidiosis in Goat Kids

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of paromomycin sulphate on serum amyloid A (SAA) and haptoglobin (Hp) in Cryptosporidiosis goat kids. Methods: In study, stool samples were taken from kids Cryptosporidium was detected via rapid test kit. Then, by examining same microscopically, we included 9 50 mg/kg administered which spp. for five days as a treatment. For SAA Hp estimation, blood drawn pre post treatment stages. Result: with Cryptosporidium, concentrations measured (SAA; 17.10±4.18 ng/mL Hp; 2.68±1.08 µg/mL) pre-treatment 9,71±4,13 ng/mL, 1,23±0,64 post-treatment stage (p less than 0,05). accordance these findings, suggest that routine measurements diarrhea due cryptosporidiosis could be value follow up treatment, determining severity infection, selection therapy monitoring preferred protocol detection subclinical infections.
